Check out these images from a new zine project by French photographers Juliette Gaudino and Michel Nguie titled “Jeune et Poli,” or “young and polite” in English.  So far, the duo have put out two issues, each composed of nine striking images, an expression of visual poetry done in a modern way.  Below are some of my favorite images from the two issues. Also, be sure to check out both of the zines in full here: issuu.com/1491editions/docs/jeuneetpoli2

Check out these images of Amy Joy Watson’s colorful, imaginative installation Big Rock Candy Mountain, which was shown in 2011 at the Contemporary Art Centre of South AustraliaThe installation was inspired by the experience of being in one place while thinking or dreaming about another, aptly taking its title from Harry McClintock’s 1928 ode of the same name, an ode to an imagined hobo’s paradise, a modern version of the medieval concept of Cockaigne.
